Introducing Gather Groups!
A Gather Group is three to six people who meet once a month to Pursue God, Build Community and Unleash Compassion together. During these two hours, there are four questions to answer and a time of prayer for each other. In between meeting times, the group will do a Bible app plan with each other and communicate as needs arise.
Gather Groups are for anyone who wants to be in a group that is intentionally meeting but is not ready for a weekly commitment. Interested? Fill out the form below or contact Michelle at mvanthul@firstb.org.
Prayer
Prayer is an important part of connecting with God and supporting your community. We have a weekly prayer newsletter that comes out on Wednesdays. Use the button below to sign up. We believe in the power of praying for each other. Submit your requests and praises using the button below.
Sunday School Classes
Haverim means “Friends.” In this class we will be studying “The Truth Project” by Dr. Del Tackett. A synopsis of the study is designed to take us on a guided worldview tour, following the points of the worldview compass.
“The compass will direct our thinking on four fundamental issues: truth, God, man, and the social order. Along the way we will learn how to organize and evaluate various opposing ideas that all claim to be the truth. But the ultimate goal is to simple obtain knowledge. It is to “look upon the face of God”– and to be transformed in the process.
We are called Seasons Sunday School Class because things change, we all change, our needs change, but Jesus remains the same no matter what we or the world around us are experiencing.
We will be studying “Fresh Start, Fresh Rhythms.” This 4-week study will help us all reset after the busy summer and reflect on building, renewing, or strengthening our daily spiritual habits for the fall season.
The Sojourners are a group of men & women who meet together to study what the Bible says and apply it to their lives.
We will be studying the parables of Jesus and how they apply to our every day lives.
The Voyagers Sunday School class is an adult group that meets at 10:30 on Sunday mornings. This group meets for study and community.
We will be using a study by Andy Stanley called “Follow”. Here’s the description:

Bible Studies
Encore Bible study is a group that studies the Bible in depth on Tuesdays from 10:00 am to 11:30 am. This is a blended group that invites others to join them!
Women of the Word is a women’s Bible study that meets on Wednesdays from 9:15 to 11:15 am. We spend time in the word and pray for each other.
Women of Excellence is a women’s Bible study that uses video-based Bible studies to pursue God and build community together. We meet on Wednesdays at 6:30 pm.
The Men’s bible study group meets on Fridays at noon to study scripture and pray together.
Community Groups
