How to Belong

November 23rd, 9 am – 12 pm

Want to know more about what it looks like to belong to the First B family? Then join us on Saturday, November 23rd for our ‘How to Belong’ Class! Pastor Bill will be teaching the class and covering what it means to be a member, why it’s important, and how you can get connected to our church family!

9:00am-12:00pm with a lunch to follow. Please RSVP at the button below, no later than Thursday, November 21st at 5:00pm!

Unleash Compassion Night

November 24th, 5:30-7:00pm

All adults, teens, and kids accompanied by their families are invited to join us for our very first Unleash Compassion Night hosted by our Mission Team on November 24th from 5:30-7:00pm! We’ll gather around tables for a meal provided by Olive Garden to start off the night. With our bellies full, we will learn about our 5 Mission Partners at First B: Glory House, Arise Ukraine, Lowell Elementary, Camp Judson, and the University of Sioux Falls. The night will consist of SERVICE and PRAYER. You’ll engage with practical ways to serve these partners at the event AND as you go home. We’ll end the event by inviting participants to literally fill the space with prayer as we write on the “prayer walls”. You’ll leave the event with “take home prayer cards” so you can continue to pray through the prompts provided! We look forward to having you join us as we unleash compassion together!  No childcare will be provided. 

The entry “fee” for this event is non-perishable food items that will be donated to the USF Cougar Cupboard

Deck the Halls

Come help First B get as festive as can be! We will be decorating for Christmas and ringing in the season togther!

Chruch Offices CLOSED 

November 28th & 29th

Church offices will be closed on November 28th & 29th in observance of Thanksgiving.

Regular business hours will resume on Monday, December 2nd.

Blue Christmas Service

December 8th, 2:00pm

The Blue Christmas Service is for those who enter the holiday season feeling the loss of someone or something. The service will be held on Sunday, Dec. 8th  at 2:00pm in the Family Life Center.

OASIS Christmas Light Tour

December 10th, 6:30pm-8:00pm

The OASIS Team invites you to tour the beautiful lighted Christmas displays around Sioux Falls.

The church bus will leave the First Baptist at 6:30pm on Tuesday, December 10th and return about 8:00pm. RSVP at the button below!

OASIS Christmas at the Capitol

December 12th, 8:00am-7:00pm

The OASIS Team invites you to tour the beautiful lighted Christmas displays at the Capitol Building in Pierre!

Van leaves at 8:00am and will return at 7:00pm. Reservations are due by December 5th

Christmas Sweater Sunday

Wear your favorite Christmas sweater to service and ring in the holiday season with the First B Family!

Hot Cocoa Sunday

Come enjoy a hot cocoa bar and get festive witht the First B Family on Sunday, December 22nd!

Serve Team Appreciation Sunday

December 29th

To honor those on our serve teams here at First B, there will be NO SERVICES on Sunday, December 29th. This allows those who serve with First B to spend some intentional time with loved ones and enjoy Sabbath.

Services will resume as normal the following week on January 5th.
