Make a Summer Worship Request
In the summer, we offer the opportunity for solos, duets, ensembles, etc. to contribute to the worship of our 9:00am traditional service! While not every Sunday will include special music like this, we do want to do our best to give people the opportunity to grow in their gifts and help lead the First B family in giving our attention and affection to God in worship. These requests are for the 9:00am traditional service only. Requests made are not guaranteed. Upon completion, a staff person will reach out with further questions. Special music opportunities will run through August.
Prayer Retreat
Join us August 1-2 for our first ever Prayer Retreat at Saint John’s Abbey in Collegeville, MN!
This retreat will be a blend of group teachings on prayer, group prayer practices, time alone to practice prayer, and the opportunity to explore the beautiful campus at Saint John’s Abbey (Saint John’s Bible Museum, 2 mile hike around the lake to the old chapel building, and so much more to explore!)
This retreat is for ages 19 and up.
Encounter Night – 150th Anniversary Edition
Join us for a powerful evening of worship and prayer as part of First Baptist’s 150th anniversary week! Encounter Night will take place in the Family Life Center at 6:30 PM on June 29th.
First Baptist’s 150th Birthday Party
You’re invited to celebrate 150 years of God’s faithfulness with us! Join the party on Wednesday, July 2nd at 6:00 PM at The District in Sioux Falls for an evening of great food, meaningful fellowship, and fun for the whole family. Enjoy a delicious meal and be entertained by a Christian comedian and illusionist in a family-friendly atmosphere.

150th Worship Service
Join us as we celebrate 150 years of ministry at First Baptist with a special combined worship service on Sunday, July 6th at 10:00 AM in the Sanctuary. We’ll come together as one church family for a powerful morning of worship, reflection, and gratitude for all God has done through the years. Don’t miss this milestone moment in the life of our church!
After the service, join us for a catered meal and a sweet time of fellowship. We’re asking everyone to bring a pie to share for dessert! Let’s gather as one church family to honor the past and look ahead to what’s next.
150th Anniversary Choir
Be part of the celebration! We’re forming a special 150th Anniversary Choir to perform a beautiful chorale piece during our worship service on Sunday, July 6th. Everyone is welcome, no matter your experience level. Join us for rehearsals on Wednesday, July 2nd at 5:00-5:30 PM and Saturday, July 5th at 5:00-5:30 PM to learn the piece and connect with others through music and worship.
